Another huge online poker tournament is waiting for players at the partypoker US Network! The inaugural World Poker Tour (WPT) Online Borgata Series takes place on September 13-21, with $275,000 in guarantees up for grabs!
The series is the latest major event organized under the new WPT-partypoker partnership which was also responsible for the hugely successful WPT Online Poker Open which ran on the partypoker US Network back in June.
The festival will see three of poker’s most prominent brands come together to bring exciting, top-notch online series to players across New Jersey. The schedule features a combination of events which borrow some elements from the prestigious WPT tournaments and Borgata Open live series, making the competition more real.
The action begins with a $215-buy-in No-limit Hold’em Sunday event which features $100,000 in guarantees, with some side events and Progressive Knockout tournaments also included. The main highlight of the festival is the WPT Online Borgata Series Main Event which come with a buy-in of $1,060. The final table of the huge event will be livestreamed for fans and spectators at home on September 21.
Another key event to watch out for is the $535 Heads Up on September 19 which only allows up to 32 participants. The perfect time to register for this event is on or before Wednesday, September 16. If you make it till Wednesday, you will have your $35 entry fee back after playing in the event.
Satellites & Qualifiers
If you think the Main Event buy-in is too large for your bankroll, you can take part in qualifiers that will give you the chance to win your way into the event for as low as $5! Every day throughout the festival, partypoker will run $5 qualifiers where you can win either of the $45 or $215 satellite tickets. If you succeed in these satellites, you will then earn a set into the $1,060 Main Event.
The series is exclusive only for players in New Jersey so make sure you are physically based in NJ if you want to participate. You can play in the weeklong series via BetMGMPoker.com, BorgataPoker.com, and NJ.PartyPoker.com.
Matt Savage, WPT Executive Director, said their main goal is to bring the best assets of their live product into the virtual felts, during a time when the live poker scene is still largely dull and silent.
