Political parties and online gambling opponents continue to make threats to not allow online gambling to gain momentum in India. Despite their efforts, India’s iGaming industry has continued to grow in leaps and bounds.
Online poker has been one of the key niche markets that has experienced phenomenal growth in the last 3 years as international and domestic poker operators have set up shop in the country to tap into the fledgling poker market. Spartan Poker claims that in the last few years, India’s poker market has experienced a 600 percent growth. Spartan also claims that in the last 24 months it has experienced a 266 percent growth in its player database thanks to the effectiveness of its innovative marketing campaigns and higher levels of audience engagement.
