The iPoker network, which is home to some well-known poker sites like Celeb Poker and Bet 365 is having a bit of a falling out recently. The problem is that bigger poker rooms on the network, like the two we just named and more like William Hill, are beginning to become upset that they are the reason for a majority of the traffic to the network, but are not being financially compensated in the correct proportion. Instead, they are seeing smaller rooms receive a cut of profit that they do not deserve.Since the larger poker rooms feel they contribute more, they want to see a larger cut of the profits. If that does not happen, some fear that the iPoker Network will be split in two leaving the larger rooms on one side, and the smaller ones on the other. This is all fine and good, but from a business point of view it would make little to no sense for iPoker to segregate their members in order to solely satisfy the wants of larger rooms. It would also be foolish because iPoker is currently the 3rd largest poker network in the world, and a split would see them fall drastically. Also, if the network did split it would do a great job of killing off the smaller poker rooms because most players would probably take their business to the larger, more well-known sites like William Hill, Bet 365, and Celeb Poker. At this point the splitting of the iPoker Network is just a rumor and there is no solid evidence backing up the claim, at least not yet. But as the bigger rooms’ frustrations continue to grow there will need to be some sort of solution offered sooner rather than later.
