The iconic European Poker Tour (EPT) London stop is officially back after eight long years! PokerStars is heading to the UK capital next week for what promises to be an action-packed festival designed for players of all bankrolls.
Running from October 18 to October 28, 2022, EPT London is headlined by the Main Event with the hugely popular Mystery Bounty also added to the schedule.
EPT London Returns
EPT London will take place alongside the UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) which means there are plenty of events in store for players, with the action taking place at Hilton Park Lane. Players also get to enjoy exciting activities away from the poker tables with London’s rich history and vibrant culture.
EPT London comes off the heels of the hugely successful EPT Barcelona which smashed records during its two-week run back in August 2022. The Main Event in particular drew the biggest field (more than 2,000 entries) and created the largest prize pool (€11.1 million) in EPT Main Event history. It will come as no surprise if EPT London turns out to be a record-breaking series as well.
2022 EPT London – Key Events
The 2022 EPT London features a £5,300 Main Event which gets underway on October 22 and runs through October 28. The tournament is expected to attract a huge attendance with the live poker arena now back to its normal state following the pandemic.
The last EPT London Main Event, held in 2014, had a £4,250 buy-in and pulled in a total of 675 entries to generate more than £2.6 million in total prize pool. The 2022 edition could very well surpass that figure.
Apart from the Main Event, players would also not want to miss the EPT Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty – yes, you’ve read it right. The winner of this particular event will take home the highly-coveted Platinum Pass, a poker package worth $30,000 (£27,000) which will send players to the highly-anticipated PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship (PSPC) in the Bahamas in January 2023. The Mystery Bounty event runs from October 24-26 and costs £3,000 to enter.
The 2022 EPT London schedule also includes a £50,000 buy-in Super High Roller (October 21-23), a £10,300 High Roller event (October 26-28), and a £330 Ladies Event (October 21).
The series is a cashless event and players have a range of options in making payments, including via debit card, Luxon Pay, and Hippodrome card, or through their PokerStars account.
