One of the main complaints that former players had during the wake of Black Friday was that they were completely in the dark. By that I mean that very little useful information was passed on to those that were affected most, the players. Full Tilt could possibly be the worst of the bunch in terms of communication. Every week throughout the summer a rumor would surface about a possible repayment from Full Tilt to players but each and every week we were let down. In an effort to boost the availability of information, PokerStars will be introducing their own corporate blog. The purpose of this blog is to help PokerStars better communicate with the people whom they serve. The poker industry is in the midst of a very large changing process, both in the US and elsewhere and there is a constant need to keep the public informed. In the past PokerStars was not known for being an outspoken voice in the industry, and yet somehow they managed to rise to the top. They are now the most well-known name in online poker and are looking to expand even more. With every expansion, the blog will help the average player know what is going on within the company and not just on the tables.Their business strategies have been good in the past as well, proven mostly by the fact that they keep player funds and corporate funds in separate accounts. This helped them repay their players in the wake of Black Friday with little difficulty. Full Tilt did not pursue the same strategy and that is why their fortunes have taken on a much more negative light than PokerStars’. Being the best in the industry is not easy, but PokerStars is definitely a trend-setter and will likely be at the top for the foreseeable future.
