The 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague is nearing its conclusion, with a number of key events already in the books, including some of the high-stakes events of the series.
Among the big winners so far are Hungary’s Tamas Adamszki, Germany’s Ole Schemion, and Dutch poker pro Teun Mulder.
Adamszki Wins Two High-Roller Events
Adamszki has had a great run so far at the series, taking down two high-roller events. The first one was a €10,200 No-Limit Hold’em which attracted 35 entries.
The final table was comprised of some familiar names, including Niklas Astedt who finished 5th for $32,994 and Pablo Silva who took home 56,808 for his 3rd-place finish. In the end, it was Adamszki who captured the tournament, defeating Michel Molenaar heads-up to walk away with $126,522 in top prize and his first recorded live tournament title. Molenaar earned $82,512 for finishing 2nd.
The rest of the final table was made up of Deividas Daubaris (4th, $42,174) and Yulian Bogdanov (6th, $25,650).
Adamszki triumphed in another high-stakes event just a few days later, the €50,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller, which is the biggest buy-in event of the series. The tournament pulled in 23 runners, with only four of them reaching the money.
Adamszki was the last player standing, earning a career-best $426,244. Fellow Hungarian Laszlo Bujtas finished second for $417,269, as Mulder (3rd, $216,864) and Japan’s Tsugunari Toma (4th, $144,612) completed the final table.
High Roller Victories for Mulder, Schemion
Mulder’s EPT Prague campaign has been a productive one with the Dutch poker pro final-tabling three events, including a victory in the first €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event of the festival. Mulder topped a 15-entry field to secure the title and $194,562 in first-place prize. Paulius Plausinaitis finished runner-up for $116,640, while Astedt had another strong showing, claiming the 3rd spot for $77,760.
The second $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event of the series attracted a bigger field of 27 entries, with the top five finishers walking away with some cash. Schemion won the tournament, walking away with the largest chunk of the prize pool worth $266,080.
Diego Zeiter finished second for $171,504, with Mulder earning $113,724 for finishing 3rd. The final two spots went to Nozomu Shimizu (4th, $82,296) and Kayhan Mokri (5th, $66,528).
The 2023 EPT Prague continues, with the final events crowning their winners on December 17, including the EPT Main Event.
