PokerStars is heading to Malta next week for the latest stop of its sponsored festival, the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT). Summer Festival Malta kicks off on June 27 and features a total of 19 events, headlined by the €1,100 buy-in Main Event.
The festival returns for a second edition this year following a successful debut in 2022.
Summer Festival Malta 2023
The PokerStars Summer Festival Malta 2023 will take place from June 27 to July 2 at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian’s. The schedule includes 19 events, eight of which serve as qualifiers for the bigger events of the series.
The key events to watch out for include the €2,200 High Roller which runs from June 27-28, as well as the €330 Malta Cup scheduled for June 30-July 2. Players can also look forward to a brand-new event from PokerStars called “Live on Stars” which will make its debut at this year’s Summer Festival Malta. The €550 buy-in tournament is a two-day affair, running from June 30-July 1.
The biggest buy-in event of the series is the €5,300 Super High Roller which takes place on July 1.
The festival’s main attraction is the Main Event which has a buy-in of €1,100. The tournament features four starting flights running from June 28-29, with Day 2 and Day 3 taking place on June 30 and July 1, respectively. The Main Event winner will be crowned on July 2.
Qualifiers Available for as Low as €80
There are eight qualifiers spread out across the series, with the first three taking place right on the opening day on June 27. Up for grabs are seats to the €1,100 Main Event and the €2,200 High Roller.
Qualifiers for the Main Event cost €125 and €250 to enter while players may secure a seat to the €2,200 High Roller for a cheaper price of €250.
Players also get the chance to win a €550 ticket to Live on Stars via a €130 qualifier which takes place on June 30. A qualifier for the €330 Malta Cup is scheduled to run on the same day. It costs just €80 to enter.
Additionally, PokerStars is also hosting a qualifier freeroll online tournament on July 1 which will award a regional tour Main Event seat to the winner.
