Romania Poker National Championship Kicks Off June 6
The first leg of the tournament will run in the north-eastern city of Iasi, which is known as the country’s Cultural Capital. It is located in the historical province of Moldavia and is the second-largest city in Romania. Poker Arena Iasi will play host to the action from June 6-12.
The 888poker team will then travel to the progressive, cosmopolitan city of Timisoara for the second leg of the tournament. The city, which is popular for its Secessionist architecture, serves as the main economic, social, and cultural center in western Romania. The Timisoara stop runs from July 4-10 at the Gentlemen’s Poker Club.
From Timisoara, the action heads over to Cluj-Napoca, a city in northwestern Romania and the capital of the historical region of Transylvania. It is home to some of the country’s most popular universities and landmarks. The competition takes place at Player’s Poker Club from August 8-14.
All three stops will feature a €330 Main Event with several side events also thrown into the mix. Players may also get in via online satellites running on 888poker.
National Champion to be Crowned in Bucharest
The competition includes a leaderboard that will determine who takes home the championship crown. European players taking part in the main events in the three previous stops will earn points based on their performances.
The final stage takes place from August 29 to September 4 and what better way to cap off the competition than to hold it in Romania’s capital and largest city, Bucharest, which is the country’s main industrial and commercial hub.
Like the first three cities, the main highlight of the Bucharest stop is the €330 buy-in Main Event. The player who finishes at the top of the leaderboard race upon the conclusion of the Bucharest leg will walk away with the first Romanian Poker National Championship title, alongside three live poker packages, courtesy of 888pokerLIVE. These packages provide the winner with access to international live poker events organized by 888poker in 2023.
