Are you a low-stakes player who wants to have a shot at the glory of playing on a big tournament stage? If so, that’s what PokerStars’ MicroMillions tournament series is all about. MicroMillions II is just a couple of weeks away, and now, PokerStars has begun running satellites for many of the MicroMillions II events that are on tap.If you’ve been playing at PokerStars for a while now, chances are you remember the first MicroMillions, which took place in March. That tournament series featured 100 different poker tournaments over 10 days, with a final Main Event that produced a prize pool of more than $1 million.MicroMillions II should be an even bigger hit. The series will run from July 12 to July 22, and will once again see 100 different events contested over those 11 days. The tournament series will have events that should be affordable for all players, ranging from events that cost just 11 cents to enter, up to the relatively pricey Main Event, which carries a $22 buy-in.Of course, even $22 can be a lot for a micro-stakes bankroll, which is why PokerStars is running satellites for the tournament series. In fact, every event on the schedule – yes, even those with buy-ins of $0.11 – will have satellites that allow players to save even more money on what is already a bargain tournament series. That Main Event will be the most exciting tournament of the series. There’s a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, with at least $150,000 guaranteed to the winner. Six other tournaments during the series have guarantees of over $100,000, and a total of more than $5 million is guaranteed for the entire series. Most tournaments in the series feature no-limit hold’em, though plenty of other games are also represented throughout the series. The MicroMillions II begins on July 12 with six tournaments. Satellites for various events are running on PokerStars from now through July 22.
