Sure, this has always been true, but now you might find that your bracelet isn’t just a great way to commemorate your accomplishment – it might also be a sharp fashion statement.The World Series of Poker revealed their new bracelet design this week, giving the world its first glimpse at a modernized version of poker’s most desired jewelry. The new designs were the work of jeweler Jason Arasheben, who is better known as Jason of Beverly Hills.Arasheben has previously made championship rings for several major sports teams in the United States, and has worked with celebrities such as Michael Jackson to create unique personalized pieces.
“I’m a big poker fan, and on top of that I had a very good friend that had heard they were looking for a jeweler to do the World Series of Poker bracelets,” Arasheben said. “With me having a store in Las Vegas…it just made sense for me to be a part of this event.”There are actually three different designs that Arasheben made for the upcoming WSOP. Most players will receive the standard WSOP bracelet, but there were two special pieces made for two unique events. First, the winner of the $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop will take home the first ever platinum bracelet to commemorate the event. Also, the Main Event winner will take home what Arasheben has described as “the most expensive piece of championship jewelry across all major sports,” as that bracelet features over 160 grams of 14-karat gold, and more than 35 carats of diamonds. This stylish piece will also feature rubies and black diamonds to mark the four suits.WSOP officials said that they were more than pleased with Arasheben’s designs.“Jason grasped the heritage of WSOP bracelets,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “This is a trophy that truly embodies the promise of today’s WSOP…I challenge anyone to keep a poker face when they see this bracelet in person.”
