If you’ve been patiently (or impatiently) waiting for Full Tilt Poker to resume operations, there have been some signs this week that a relaunch could be imminent. A new burst of activity in and around the site has speculation running rampant that Full Tilt Poker is on the way back – which could mean that players would soon be able to log into their accounts once more. One of the most promising signs has come from the Full Tilt Poker site and servers themselves. On Tuesday, players saw a change in the “system status” icon on the FTP website. For the first time since the site lost its operating license last June, the icon now displayed as green, and gave the message that “all systems are currently operational.”Not surprisingly, this caused many players to attempt to log onto the poker room itself. However, players were not able to connect, though the software client claimed it was attempting to. Some players also claimed that they were being asked to upgrade their software to a new version, though that could not be independently confirmed.Just as interestingly, the numbers at the bottom of the FTP homepage that track the number of players, tables and tournaments in action were actually moving in the last couple of days. This has led many to speculate that the site is being tested internally as a precursor to a full relaunch. This idea was supported by the presence of a handful of new avatars on the site, including what appeared to be new customer service avatars.Things are heating up on the business side of things, too. Laurent Tapie and Prosper Masquelier – both of whom work heavily with Groupe Bernard Tapie, the French investment group attempting to purchase FTP – have been listed as directors of “New Full Tilt Limited,” a company just incorporated in February in Dublin. A similar company was incorporated last week in Malta as well. While GBT lawyers have not commented on the issue as of yet, it would appear as though the group expects to play a part in a relaunched Full Tilt sometime soon. For players who are still waiting to play on Full Tilt you may want to try out Lock Poker as they seem to be the up and coming room to play on considering they are now launching their Lock Online Poker Series. We highly recommend them.
