Unlike a lot of sites Celeb pays some of that rake back to its players in order to reward them for playing. Recently they announced that the way that a player receives rake will be changed a bit. The new change states that if a player does not contribute to the pot, they will receive no part of the rake.For example, if you fold pre flop, you will see no benefits from the rake generated during that hand. It is a bit more extensive than that though. The new contribution method for calculating rake will reward players based on how much money they contributed to the pot. Instead of simply rewarding everyone who did not fold pre flop, the rake contribution method will reward players based on HOW MUCH they contribute to the pot.For example, if you call the blind and go in to see the flop, you will be considered a recipient of some rakeback, but if you fold after the flop, you will not see as much rakeback as a player who played and bet all the way through to the river. The changes to the rake calculation will be instituted on March 5th and you can check out all the details on Celeb Poker’s site.They chose to make this change to how they do rakeback because by doing a weighted version it is a lot fairer to the players involved. There is no need to reward players who are folding pre flop and not actually playing a hand of poker. This is another example of Celeb Poker trying to do everything in their power to give their members the fairest and most enjoyable experience possible.
